A Snowflake - lux - 01-16-2014
Sometimes I feel like my life is a snowflake.
I’ll become known to people. People will always expect me. They’ll always moan upon my arrival. People don’t like snow. People don’t like me.
The day I arrive, I fall from the sky. I transform from a weak, lonely drop into a glorified snowflake. People see me amongst hundreds of others, and I bring joy to their faces. I remind them of happy times they've had, but only for a brief moment. After being seen and enjoyed, I settle on the cold, cruel, harsh ground. Only to be forgotten and walked upon. People will ignore me. Step on me and throw me around. I'm seen as a danger and hazard, and people avoid me.
Being a snowflake isn't fun. Sure you have your crystal white, beautiful, shining moments. But after that, what are you? You’re left compacted to the ground, where nobody cares. You’re left to return to what you once was before, nothing.

This makes me completely speechless, though I cannot avoid feeling for you, brother.
Just remember that, though unique, when at its most fragile point; the snowflake is more beautiful than anything ever imaginable.

It is indeed, but if you keep falling, you will sooner or later hit the safe, solid ground.

I'm from a really cold country. I've gotten used to the cold. I've gotten used to the snow. And you know what? I've learned to love it.
You'll always find friendship somewhere brother. We're a family. The lot of us. Maybe a weird and a bit shunned family, but a family no matter what.
