September is Suicide Prevention Month.

In 2024, 48,824 people died by suicide in the U.S. That’s about 133 people every day.

Behind every number is a person, a family and people who cared about them. Check on your friends. Listen without judging. Let people know they don’t have to go through things alone. If you’re struggling, please reach out. Things can change, even when it doesn’t feel like they can.

Personally to this post. Ive had friends and loved ones that passed away from suicide and it really devestated me when they did. I know it's greedy of me to say they shouldn't do something when it's their own lives, but suicide isn't the right option. There's so many people including me a the time willing to help and outreach. Sometimes people close themselves off and forget this.

We once lost a good friend and member to suicide. Still bothers me to this day. Depression can be a terrible affliction and you never know what someone is going through.

I recommend seeking professional help, of course... but I'm always happy to talk to anyone that needs it.
