[TUTORIAL] Change Permissions Via iFile And Its Use - Daniel - 11-09-2013
Today I'm going to show you how to change the permissions of a file via iFile in order to make some Jailbroken hacks work. I will also give you the meaning of each permission so you understand why we need to change them.
Steps:
1. Open iFile
2. Go to the location of the file you want to change permission
3. Click the little blue arrow near the file
4. Scroll down, the permission will probably be 644
5. Tap and change permissions to 777, which is the one you will use to hack
Common permissions:
644
User: Read, Write
Group: Read
World: Read
755
User: Read, Write, Execute
Group: Read, Execute
World: Read, Execute
775
User: Read, Write, Execute
Group: Read, Write, Execute
World: Read, Execute
777
User: Read, Write, Execute
Group: Read, Write, Execute
World: Read, Write, Execute
Setting permissions to 777 will give us the possibility to 'write' (edit) and execute the 'edited' (hacked) file, so this is the permission you'll need for almost every binary hack or file located in Game.app
