The adapter works and is able to give energy and data from a Type-C device to a Type-A device. Good for old USB devices connecting to the new type-C.
This USB types is the universal type for phones. By default each phone manufacturer used to use a exclusive type to charge phones. This universal type ends with this and all manufacturers have to use the Type-C ones. Except apple that uses thunderbolt.
