On the verge of success - DaemonSic - 12-16-2012
No one here knows who I am, or what I do, or what I want to do. A lot of you won't even bother to read this, but heck, I might find someone with the same interest as me.
The last 6 months have changed my life, I found out what I actually want to do.
I have made a facebook page called Death Metal. It was really hard for me to get any likes. Why did I create it? Well, I wanted to receive free CD's, T-Shirts, and I also wanted to promote bands. Now, I have 5000 likes. I have received 2 CD's. I received one from Russia, and the other one for Croatia. And I never thought I would get them. This Friday, I have created a website called Death Metal Hell. Why did I create it? Well, from the same reason I created the facebook page. I wanted to promote bands and get free stuff. In 3 days, I got 500 views.
i was looking for bands to promote when I first started, and now they find me.
If I gave up 6 months ago, I would not discover what I love. And it is promoting death metal!
What I want to achieve in the next 2 years:
- Creating Death Metal events
- Maybe having my own record label
- Having a large death metal community
- Make my living out of it
What is my main problem? It is money. Since I'm 17 and I make no money(still in high school), I had to use shitty blogger to make my website. If I had the money, I would make a website that I'm happy with.
Is there anyone with the same goal as me? Are there any band promoters here? Can you give me some tips on how to achieve my goal?

You all got it wrong. He wants to be a promoter, not get promoted.
Ask around any local metal stations/bars and stuff that support metal/concerts, etc. See if they'd like your band. Be sure to bring the samples with you.

It's great to see that you've found your calling. I'm still deciding what I want to do in life, but I'm sure I'll find it soon. I wish you the best of luck with your future goals!
