Which distro? (PC) - altoyd - 12-20-2024

I cannot stand windows anymore. Maybe it’s my schizo brain but I don’t trust everything I do being on a Microsoft-made product. I need privacy, but also want to be able to game. Which distro would be best for this case?

Dual boot is the way to go. Use window for gaming and do everything else on your choice of linux.

It depends on what games you'll be playing. Linux emulation software has gotten to a point where most if not all offline games run perfectly fine. Anything with an anti-cheat is a tossup these days though. Not even GTAV can be emulated on Linux anymore.

What are you looking to do? Generally, Ubuntu and Linux Mint are good starters.
