my experience with antiviruses has been bad, mcafee norton etc. what's good one that won't slow down your pc?

All AVs slow down your PC as they're performing different analytical tasks on the background. You can always disable the run-time scanning, but really not advisible.

Windows Defender works great and comes built into Windows
