Currently doing mechanical and want to get into the field of aero but am interested in the robotics and electrical side of engineering as well. Would a mechatronics degree be viable in the aero field ? Thanks

You might be after Avionics engineering, as I believe it deals with the electronic elements more than Aerospace engineering. Depending where you are studying, it may be easy to swap if you change your mind.

Mechatronics is definitely more applicable to a broader variety of fields.
