Linux as base operating system. And for some minimal work I use debloated windows in virtual box.

I prefer Windows, although if to look at the security side of things linux on a Virtual machine (preferably a usb drive is the way to go). Having a VM protects you and your data if you're searching some sketchy sites that are not very good.
