I know Taylor Swift has brought her army against the technology. What are your thoughts? Is there any ethical use of Deep Fakes?

Ethical considerations aside (for commercial use, scams, etc.), the danger it poses to politics is huge. with so many voters (in most countries) being absolutely clueless, convincing deepfakes will be used to polarize voters and create unrest. It's already happening and most superpowers now have military units to combat this.

^I agree. Plus, the fake news can make us all behave a certain way - with panic for instance - thinking of "fake" presidential announcements with regards to catastrophic events (nuclear explosion, new pandemic, outrageous news).

It's an interesting take on the matter, however with the currrent technology it is still possible to recognize them, give it a few years and even you may be a deep fake ;0

Definitely can't see the positive in deep fakes. Just a new wave of extremely smart technology aimed to confuse and trick us, as other well known scams become less and less effective
