What is Linux like? - xoticc - 05-07-2024

What is Linux like, I have used it before and the UI is so annoying does anyone find it the same?

Its easier to use nowadays, compared to 2010-2020, if you dont like the UI, you can always customize it with gnome (if youre using debian) or other theme providers. I decided to switch to Ubuntu and dual boot Kali (not a skid, just need the tools) so I wouldnt see microsofts bullshit (windows 11 ads and their shitty updates). One thing I fond very convenient was that, when I started dual booting kali, it copied my ubuntus theme/style. If youre into games, steam games run perfectly, with better performance.

Interestingly, when I was younger I tried to use Ubuntu for awhile but I thought the UI was very laggy and shit, i dont know, maybe views change over time?

It just takes a while to get used to. Try different desktop managers and configs until you find something that works. Everything is customizable.

Takes a lot to get used to, but pretty good. Gui is nowhere near as good as windows. Utility is hard too
