Send emails to recruiters, look for people who have done consulting work before

good academics and do whatever people aren't. write a blog or analysis on LinkedIn, make some resources and release them for free, go and get some actual experience interning at startups. just do something that isn't bulk applying for roles or connecting with first years on linkedin and asking for a 'virtual coffee'
