With how high divorce rates are, it's difficult to just meet one person's needs. Polygamy/open relationships further complicate that. Doesn't work for most people.
There's been cases where it works out, but requires emotional maturity/respect. The creator of Wonder Woman was in a bigamous relationship.

Most people dont have the emotional maturity for polygamy tbh. I know some people who've made it work ST but never longer than a few months

I'm all for monogamy. I would never enter into a polygamous relationship. I think that lately there is a lot of promiscuity, both from men and women and I really don't like that. I think that promiscuity is a lack of commitment to the partner, we're becoming so easily bored with things, including relationships, we need all to man up and commit to relationships and stick to the order and not to the chaos, cause polygamy is resembling chaos, especially for the children. I also think that children will grow up much better when the parents are in a monogamous relationship and they love each other every day more than the previous day.
Yes, there can be some misunderstandings, some disagreements, but direct communication is the key to a long lasting monogamous relationship.
But that's only my opinion, maybe human beings are programmed to be polygamous by nature, we cannot know that, and I hope not.
