Hamas is movement which not represent Palestinians. They seized power and killed legal authorities which before represent Palestinians (lit. thrown them from windows, in best way shot at the knees). Hamas are religious people, so question about "usage of own citizens as shield" for them is pointless, because dead people will go to heaven.

But yep, anyway whole situation looks strange. They of course could predict behavior of Israel, so unclear, why they did it. Just to disappear without future for own people (anyway they perceive Palestinians as own people) - incredible strange decision. It must be some more important goal which is unclear for us right now.

Hamas isn’t a “terrorist organization”. The majority of Palestinians rightly support Hamas.

– latest videos how they attacked: killed non combatants, civilians and captured (only criminals/terrorists kill / injure captured).
