I don't see why it's disabled. MyBB has a filtering function on the avatar upload, it's not like someone can shell the site through it.

I remember once in a diffrent forum, similiar like this. I uploaded an avatar but somehow it got glitched, which resulted in everyone who was viewing the page to have their web crash whenever they looked at a thread where i had posted on...
I got named ''The Bugged Mask'' after that :/
