Consumer Quantum Computers - psychopomp - 09-25-2023
My understanding of this is limited. But every time I think about quantum computers, I have a that's so raven flash forward of AI prophets sending dr strange levels of fortune telling through a neuralink. Government boogypeople forming prayer circles around QLang scripted bibles.
Will there ever be an operating system for quantum computers? GUI? What would that look like? How will this change our use of regular computers?
Encryption would no longer protect us, microsoft would have to sell excel coloring books to keep the lights on. Help.

Even not for 99% countries.

Seems like there are equal numbers of doomsday claims that we cannot possibly adapt fast enough, as there are calm dismissals that it will be just fine. Hard telling not knowing and tbh I have no idea who is right.
