Sports Games - Going Downhill - Dismas - 09-20-2023

It was announced awhile back that NBA 2K24 would have a $9.99-$19.99 battle pass. For an already $60-$100 game, it's pretty bad. Fifa/Madden have used similar monetization tactics previously.

Pretty gross they made a Kobe Bryant edition. Having played the older titles (NBA 2003 / NBA Street), never would have guessed the games would become so predatory. Seems like sports games have gone downhill.

The amount of money FIFA has made in the last three/four years is insane, yet the game has gone downhill massively. Greed has ruined that game.

Sports games in general have been the exact same half-baked product for 10 years. I really cannot justify getting the exact same game every year with a couple of minor changes and a different player on the cover.

While the graphics are definitely better... they don't look 20 years better. Same game, but 2013 graphics.
