I like the Oni symbol - ProfessorChill - 11-16-2013
It actually works pretty well for how simplistic the symbol is, simple blur effects and a cool background makes it stand out really well!
Any feedback is appreciated!

Blurred slightly too much in my opinion.
Pretty great though. Thank you for using a decent colour scheme, too!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep in mind to lower blurs while making stuff like this in the future ^_^\

I feel that in your image the sharpness and detail of the background image draws my eyes more than the symbol does. It might be worth making the symbol look more like a seamless part of the image (in a similar manner to the post by Lux). Or, perhaps, blurring/lightening the background (and making the symbol a more deep blood red) to create better contrast. I think it should be either a matter of strong contrast or a subtle blend. I absolutely love the colour scheme and regardless of my opinions, it still looks epic! Nice one!
