Howdy,
I think the Random Discussion forum may be redundant. 'Less serious discussion' - shouldn't that just be posted in the Lounge anyway? Sounds like anything appropriate for that section would be stupid/LQ anyway?

Less than less serious discussion goes in there. It's for stuff that'd be deemed low-quality otherwise.

Well, post count in Random Discussion doesnt count so it really doesnt matter if someone is being LQ there.

Exactly. In The Lounge, they count, and it serves as a place to discuss things that might not already have a designated section. The posts in The Lounge tend to be higher quality as well.
