Really depressing stuff - Nyx - 10-29-2013

This video is really depressing to watch, and it gave me an idea for a thread:

I just want to know what kinds of things make you depressed. Now I am not talking about break-ups but I am talking about stuff around the world. Like 9/11 and stuff like that.

Please don't troll.

What depressed me? When my mum took mah gaems and I fult berd.
Okay, I'm sorry.

On an actual serious note?
The Norway Shooting Made Me Feel Like Shit For A Week.

I'll never pinpoint why exactly it bugged me so specifically, but it did.

Nothing at all makes me depressed. I find it impossible to feel 'down' nowadays. This is because I used to feel depressed quite often (I wouldn't say depressed, but like, completely unenthused). I forced myself to retrain my conscious to refer to everything optimistically. Even if I was about to do something I didn't want to do, I'd say I wanted to do it 10 times in my head. Sooner or later, something amazing happens. And you start believing it. You know that feeling of excitement on a Friday night when you're about to go out partying and you feel alive and empowered? I feel like that constantly and it's changed my life for the better.

If, on the odd occasion, there's something bothering me, I'll tend to feel more anxious than depressed.

And I thought Suicide Forest was bad. One man killing 85 teens is fucking insane!

Yeah, I don't fucking know what's going in the world anymore.

Shit is really fucked up. Suicide rates are fucking through the roof too....

You see, I have multiple problems... mentally, I mean. So consider that
The main thing that depresses me happens when I start thinking of who I am. I really don't know, and I always appreciate myself for what other people appreciate me for... my intelligence.
But anyway, things that happen in the world don't usually depress me... they just make me think
And the Norway shooting just started to make me think... My girlfriend knew the shooter... or well "knew" they lived around the same area...

Seeing a little kitten half run over the other day, was dragging it's hind legs trying to get out of traffic, I barely missed it myself.

Dude wtf? I'd kill the person who ran it over.

As a moral nihilist this type of stuff has no effect to me, my question to you is "Why is this depressing to you?" Frankly this does not effect you, you are just trying to appear as a loving and caring person. They made their choice and your pity has no relevance to them.
