US Government reopened, for now. - Kinanizer - 10-17-2013
So basically our government reopened to pay the bills we owe so we don't go into a great depression. But after that's over the republicans plan to shut it down again.

I've become really disappointed with our political system lately. The crappy part is though, we will always have 2 parties.

Its been like that for years, and I don't see it changing. I've been disappointed ever since we re-elected Obama after all the shit he did the first time.

Yes. You're one of the few countries that only have two parties( and most others form coalition governments )

Well let me tell you why it won't change. First off, the media only covers the democratic and republican parties. Second, "Third-Parties" usually can't afford advertising to get their message out to the general public. Third, our general populace is lazy and therefor won't take the time to research any of the "Third-Parties" and their views. Lastly, many Americans are arrogant and suborn when it comes to politics and are unable to listen to any debate objectively. Maybe I'm just a pessimist, but the American government is to corrupt by now to ever change.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like any parties. What irks me more, are the people who vote for their party regardless of the person's platform. Rarely do people research, rather than simply vote for their party and bash the other. It's pathetic.
People are starting to realize the importance of a 3rd party candidates. All it's taking is for the country to turn to shit for people to get their heads' out of their asses. Up to 60% now. Still have the usual dem/rep egoists who won't budge.
