Avast Free and AVG Free are quite good and developed antivirus software. Do not forget uncheck Personal Privacy settings. Others antiviruses are not so good, except if you use paid ones. Avira, for example, have 32 bit version only, etc.

I'm using Norton 360 for 1 Year by now, it is very good.
No matter how powerful your AV is, you need to be careful otherwise you are not protected at all.

Windows Defender.
Paid antiviruses are very overrated. Just do not click on links in emails/texts, do not download more RAM, do not download that free game that seems too good to be true, use a password manager to manage all your passwords and accounts, use adblockers/anti trackers in your browsers and that will solve 99% of security issues.
