Buying Elite with Money - Mendax - 10-13-2013
Can we please have the option to buy Elite through Money?
I know Oni prefers points as there can be many problems when sending/receiving a payment, but what if there were strict requirements, and users would have to make an application before they can be approved?
Simply because it will take too long to make that many posts, and I want to help contribute to the site.

You can buy SP at $1.50 / 100 from Oni. From where you are, you'll need 2000 SP: working out at about $30. Maybe get your S.P closer to 1000 and then buy some? :3

Firmly against this idea.
It's a cheap way of going up and the point system forces some form of activity or contribution to become Elite.
Any countermeasures to filter trolls/unfits from the Elite group would obviously mean some poor sod has to be constantly checking for them, which is just plain silly. If it's too many posts to make, then obviously Elite doesn't seem worth it to those that think so.

Did you not read the part where I said that someone would have to make a tedious check on the applications which is a pretty easily forged thing? :/

Oni could choose a dedicated staff member for it, it's somewhat similar applying to Ub3r.

It is infinite, also just buy SP from Oni and buy elite.
