Some Sort Of UID - Ryan - 10-13-2013

I think each member should have some sort of UserID. For scam reports (which luckily haven't seemed to happen yet.) You will need to link there profile but they could just keep changing there name.

If I'm not mistaken, then the forum already has UserIDs. But it is only visible to members with staff permissions.

RE: Some Sort Of UID - Adorapuff - 10-13-2013

Ichi is correct, the plugin we use to disply the username instead of the UID does just that. Staff still have access to UID, and you can see people's UID when sending them a PM. For example, OPs UID is 6670

I just noticed that regular members can't see the UID, but yeah, I assume the staff members can see it.

This, but I don't see why it is such a big deal for members to see a UID.

Go to your UserCP then look at the end of your referral link.

You can check the users id here: http://www.sinister.ly/misc.php?action=username_history&uhuid=6670
Your is 6670, and that list also shows all the nicknames you have, so I don't think it's needed

I think it looks better without userid, it looks more professional.
