Best recording device? - FluffyFriendly - 08-24-2013 Hey guys, I've been looking online to see if there is any devices that can record my PC, Ps3 etc. I happend to come over AverMedia and after a bit videos on Youtube I decided that this is the device that is compatiable for me and what I'd like to do. Now there's a bunch of devices out there and I'm sure you've already heard of them: - Hauppauge HD PVR - Elgato Gaming Capture Card - Roxio Game Catpure HD - Intensity Pro I'm curious if you guys agree that AverMedia is better than these capture devices. Thanks for your time and I'd love to see you reply your personal opinion. RE: Best recording device? - Halon2 - 08-24-2013 Hmm, well. My friend owns an Elgato, and it's a nice piece of hardware. But I'm not really interested in capture cards, as a PC gamer who's waiting for shadowplay. RE: Best recording device? - Bliss - 08-24-2013 HDPVR's are really good will do pretty much everything you need to do most likely. You can use software for recording PC like Camtasia or Fraps. RE: Best recording device? - Sapientia - 08-24-2013 I'm going to get the Roxio Capture Card soon RE: Best recording device? - FluffyFriendly - 08-24-2013 (08-24-2013, 11:27 PM)Bliss Wrote: HDPVR's are really good will do pretty much everything you need to do most likely. The reason I don't want a PVR is because you can't record your PC, other devices like PS2, Ps3(which I do have) and PVR after my opinion is most made up for Xbox recording and I don't have that... And AverMedia can capture your gameplay/stream without you using a single process on your computer to record(correct me if I'm wrong) RE: Best recording device? - Nefarious - 08-25-2013 The "Hauppauge HD PVR" is probably your best bet.
