What you will be already wearing:
You should have Mystic Robes
If you are too poor or dont have the stats for it just use regular mage robes.
Have a Air Staff equipped
About 300 steel + arrows
Shield of your choice
How to get there

If you don't have a teleport or the quests done, this is the best route for you. Start from varrock and follow the path. Then when you get to "The Hollows" its very simple. The route to actual barrows is quick and easy!

Dharoks: Use Mage, Protect from Melee, Watch for HP highest hitting Brother!
Veracs: Use Mage, Protect from Melee
Ahrims: Use Range, Protect from Magic

Guthans: Use Mage, Protect from Melee

Get 7-8 Killcount before hitting the chest, this increases your chances of getting a barrows piece by alot! Kill rats in-between tunnel doors for quick KC!
