[TUT]How To Speed Up Program Loading - Gingie - 07-17-2013 I know it says Program loading, but it actually speeds up all loading in general for the computer. So very easy tutorial here. Go to the start menu and click run Enter in system.ini Look for the [Enh] and delete any #'s before it and put 30000 Should look like [30000Enh] Now save it. Easy and simple way to make your ram load things faster ![]() RE: [TUT]How To Speed Up Program Loading - Eternity - 07-17-2013 Would be great if you could explain what this do so we don't brick our windows installation. RE: [TUT]How To Speed Up Program Loading - Gingie - 07-17-2013 Well usually your windows assigns exactly how much ram to use for certain things. I know that for some people, it would take usually about a minute to load(for example) photoshop due to so many brushes and stuff, so this gives more ram to do so. So that means it'll load up faster. RE: [TUT]How To Speed Up Program Loading - Eternity - 07-17-2013 I don't think RAM is the problem. You see the HDD need to transfer the data to the RAM first at the speed of the HDD so let's say 100 MB/sec. My RAM is able to push 2000 MB/Sec. I start up Photoshop. The HDD start searching for the Data. The HDD found the files and start transferring the data to the RAM while starting up Photoshop. RAM then reads it and does what RAM does...Store data. It's the HDD that does all the work, the RAM only "Cache" the run-files. If i now close Photoshop and start it again the start up WILL be faster yes but only due to Windows haven't cleared that bit of data in the RAM. So basically making the RAM go faster won't increase the loading speed of you program significantly, a minor increase is of course to be expected. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
