Do you workout? - terje - 10-13-2022

Is anyone here into working out/lifting weights? I recently got back into it following a mild injury (left wrist)

I used to do nothing but cardio workout running a lot. Then I got tired of nagging injuries so I moved to splitting my week between running and doing a light total body weight workout for an hour. It's worked well. I went from nagging injuries to really being fairly free of them for a few years after starting.

I've been working out for the last two months, but usually I just skip rope 5-6 days a week for an hour a day. But recently I don't know if it's because of excessive exercise that my left shin started to hurt. I rested for three days and then continued to exercise, but I still found that the calf was still sore.

Really got into lifting. Overtrained a ton and got badly injured I miss smashing prs but it really wasn't worth it. I should have been patient.

I used to workout every single day with my BIL, but haven’t since I had my daughter. So I haven’t worked out in a looooong time. I do push-ups here and there but not really any running. I tried to run for a while but get horrible shin splints.
So I ended up getting a nice water rowing “machine”. I love it. It’s such a nice change of pace compared to running. Not horrible on joints, and easier to get into. IMO anyways

Go to the gym 3-4 times a week. But once a stop a week, it takes a loooong time to get back in the game

What did you injure and how? I have some similar issues. I really can't (or shouldn't really) do deadlifts because of some hip surgery that happened to me when I was younger. I can do most of the other "big lifts," but it causes me to do a ton of isolations.
