Meal after Gym - SeXy - 07-31-2013 Guys any good meals to eat after the gym!? Thanx in advance! RE: Meal after Gym - Harvey - 08-01-2013 Well, it really depends on your fitness goals. I'm going to assume you're after hypertrophy gains. Typically, the best way to go after a workout is to consume lots of protein as well as carbs. If you're into supplements, you can't go past a WPI (whey protein isolate) post-workout. That said, don't think you've had enough protein simply from the protein shake alone. It's only a supplement and you need additional protein and carbs on top of that (provided you aren't cutting or anything). I also take 5 grams of creatine monohydrate every day, so that's something to consider also. You should also look to get some good clean carbs in post-workout (banana/vegetables/etc works nicely).
