This is an excellent list. One suggestion I have is to add CCleaner. I don't know what I'd do without it.

I don't know how many people would use this, but Game Booster is a great program. It shuts off all unnecessary processes and programs to maximize your PC's performance.

I would say to have Open Office instead of Microsoft Office, I would also recommend Comodo Dragon over Google Chrome, and finally I would add Comodo Fire Wall. Besides that great post.

Great list, but Skype is unnecessary to be on there. It's like saying you need FaceBook Messenger on their. Depends on people's use, but good list nevertheless.
