Quebec's French Laws to Hurt Ubisoft (and Others) - Oni - 06-30-2022 Quebec recently declared French the only national language, for government services and otherwise. This affects Ubisoft and other international (game) companies, which have offices in Quebec. Doesn't exactly help stereotypes of the French, either. Why, when you have international companies like that, would you want to make it harder for them to do business? I'm all for places promoting their languages, but I don't understand the purpose of this? Is it pride? Am I missing something? How proud will they be of their French speaking increases when all the big companies leave./new companies choose to avoid the place when looking for HQ set up.
