I suggest not all posts be counted towards it. I say exclude: sales and combo lists
Sales because the posts are mostly bumps
Combo list because I think there's a bot contributing atm (I may be wrong)
Anything else that's spammy, will update if I think of another section

This is a more than reasonable suggestion. It barely takes any effort to bump existing threads, or post combolists.
This should also only take a small amount of work to implement.

Additionally, it might encourage users to contribute meaningful conversation, at the very least. It's usually bots or ESL speakers.

I agree with the intent of the suggestion. Implementing it might present a different issue. Will examine our options once current priorities are sorted. The issue with the Combo Lists section, is that there is actually content that receives traffic. I'd argue the posters should still receive recognition, but there's been a few members that have gotten to Diamond simply posting there.
In the mean time, I have actually disabled the earning of NSP in both Premium/Regular Sales. This way sellers can't upgrade off a bunch of bumps. If anyone actually got to Diamond off of doing that, kudos to them I guess. We've been lenient about allowing bumps, as our market has grown a lot since the forum started.

I guess they did drive up their rep organically, because they probably manually posted the bumps (at least, in most cases), so it's not automated scripting that earned them the title Diamond. They didn't know or didn't do it intentionally, I am betting. And some of the combo lists are pretty big in terms of traffic generated, and I used a few of the large ones and they were pretty effective. Objectively speaking, that deserves recognition.

- Stoner Discussion
- Regular Sales
- Premium Sales

It's not a bad list. I may make a record of this.
I agree with the commentary about combo lists. While they're not specifically discussion generating content, it does bring a lot of traffic. Not every post on SL needs to be a discussion - resources are welcome too.
