Skin care? - OliverAmyy - 03-19-2022 I have very dry skin that constantly has problems. Acne and pimples can even appear on my neck and hands and it worries me a lot. I asked my dermatologist what the solutions could be, but his predictions didn't come true. I'm still trying to use some skin care products but am on the lookout for the best ones. If any of you are using these I would love to hear your recommendations. He/she should've certainly sorted out your condition. Do you have a follow-up appointment? If not, see another dermatologist. RE: Skin care? - Oni - 03-21-2022 Acne's generally the worst around age 13 to 18. After you hit about 20 or so, it becomes much less common. Would recommend Stridex or Clearasil for acne, along with moisturizer for dry skin. Drink lots of water, bathe daily, and wash your pillowcase. RE: Skin care? - HelenLevitt - 03-26-2022 I just wash my face with water, haha. For example start by seeing trigger causes after consuming certain things. RE: Skin care? - Jiggly - 03-27-2022 What did your dermatologist actually say? I can't imagine any dermatologist just does "predictions". They will have given you a recommended list of products and things to look out for. For example, eating Dairy is a massive no no if you're struggling with acne. I can't recommend cutting out of your diet completely, but you should definitely speak to your dermatologist about your diet. There's some really simple foods that can make it worse. They will also tell you what ingredients to look for in skin care products. Annoyingly, I can't recall what they are off the top of my head. There's not much point listening to others skincare recommendations as everyone's skin is totally different. You skin will also have a different PH level to someone else's. Therefore, no product will work the same for everyone. RE: Skin care? - Sutfnabor - 03-29-2022 I wash my face twice a day with a soap bar, and use a chemical exfoliant 2-3 times a week. I took up this routine like 4 weeks ago and my skin has already started to improve DRAMATICALLY. Also began drinking A LOT of water though (i need to go to the toilet like every hour or so but whatever) and stopped touching my face, also change my pillow case daily. RE: Skin care? - Nicolett - 03-30-2022 In order to have a clean skin, no acnea and other types of skin disease, you have to treat your skin and to take the right care. Visit your local cosmetic doctor for some advices, what I know is that you don't, ever, touch your face with dirty hands, and let nobody touch it. Wash your face with special solution, simple water may not be the right choice if you have some bacterias (those might be not active). Take off your makeup before sleep RE: Skin care? - sherxan - 04-02-2022 (03-20-2022, 01:23 AM)mothered Wrote:smart and safeQuote: I asked my dermatologist what the solutions could be, but his predictions didn't come trueA dermatologist knows best.
