Artesian Builds Shuts Down - Dismas - 03-11-2022
Known mostly for its Twitch affiliates and sponsors, Artesian Builds will be shutting down after backlash from the Twitch/Twitter community. This is happening after they mocked one of their affiliates on stream. Overall prebuilds aren't all that great, so if you're buying from a company you might want to look elsewhere anyway. Had 2-3 friends that were affiliates and all of them dropped their partnership with Artesian immediately.

Giveaway sponsor Intel was displeased with Artesian, as was a considerable portion of the internet: The streamer's complaint was retweeted over 8,000 times. Artesian's CEO later apologized, but for that reason or others, the company may have sold its last PC.
A few days ago, Artesian said it was looking into a "potential employee-led buy-out of the company." Now it's shutting down indefinitely.
"We are sad to announce that, effective now, we are freezing/suspending all activities," Artesian wrote on Twitter. "Ongoing is analysis by outside counsel for reorg. to ensure fair treatment of clients, creditors, and employees. We expect more info by month's end. We are open to assistance/investment."
Artesian Builds is based in San Francisco, and reportedly has an eastern US office which deals with the bulk of its PC building activity. It employed between 40 and 50 people before they were laid off last night, according to Gamers Nexus.

Just saw the livestream reposted on youtube yesterday. Can't say I'm surprised. Their CEO is a total douchebag.

Normally I'd chalk it up to someone having a bad day, but he's kept it consistent.

The CEO is an asshole! When I saw what he said I was kinda mad, especially at how literally after he insulted her he switched to "SPONSORED BY INTEL!". What happened was bound to happen anyways, actions always have consequences.
