I'm doing both of these from scratch next semester for university and I'd like to know which one you prefer.
They're both popular, so i'd like to know and which do you think would better me as an IT professional.

I would prefer C++.
Java is more used to develop games while C++ is used more for developing programs.

I have never tried any of those. I started Javascript for websites, but I didn't finish that.
