I absolutely hate moving. It is extremely stressful for me because I am more of a shy person, and it is harder for me to make a lot of friends. I end up getting a good group of friends that I am close with and I am pulled away just to rinse and repeat the process. I have lost count of the states that I have moved to over the course of my life up until this point.

Firstly, to shed some light on some questions you may be asking yourself, number one being why am I forced to move so much? My fathers job in the government requires him to move from place to place yearly, normally, sometimes as little as six months. I am not going to go into detail on what his job is, and what he does, though because it is quite hard to explain. You may also be asking yourself what is the point of this thread. I have a few reasons that I have decided to make this thread, firstly to express my hatred towards moving. Secondly, to vent some frustration. Lastly, to hopefully get some helpful advice.

I am currently in a dilemma on what I should dom I am going to explain the situation the best that I can and hopefully someone can provide some advice.

Firstly, I am currently living in Kentucky, I have lived in Kentucky for four years currently. I have honestly never been able to live in one state for this amount of time before, the maximum I have lived in another state being two and a half, maybe three years tops. Okay, now to heart of the subject, I had planned halfway through high school that if a move happened again, I would stay in Kentucky get my college education. I have recently, as of two weeks ago find out that my father is being stationed in Germany on September sixth. I have never been overseas in my life. It is very stressful and upsetting. I am going to list a positive, and negative list to give a better understanding. Positives - I would get literally all of my college education paid for by the government. I could experience a different part of the world, and learn a new language. I am offered a job on the base my father is working at for above American minimum wage, as a part of my fathers contract. I would basically be living free, saving up money. If I did not move with my father. Negatives - I would not being getting free college.(Completely free anyways.) I am going to be honest and tell you that I have never truly been employed anywhere, therefore I would need an apartment which is expensive for someone who hardly has any money saved up, granted my parents could assist. I do not want the burden of students loans that I would have to spend years upon years paying off.

I am actually going to go ahead and stop this thread here, I feel as if I have gotten the point across enough. I am just wanting to hear some other peoples opinions on what they would choose being in my shoes, basically. If you read all of this, and post some advice, I truly appreciate you being supportive. It means a lot to know that there are still some good hearted people amongst us.

(I am sorry if this is over exaggerated, it is just very upsetting and stressful to me.)

Regards,
Ninja.

Damn, that sucks.
I think moving around is fun, although I've only been moving around in my city. Which isn't the same deal, obviously.
I hope that everything will work out for you.

How old are you? Shouldn't you be able to get your own place soon? Smile

I like running behind the cat, he's a noob and thinks I'm a stranger.

I am actually asking a legitimate question. I would appreciate it if no one else leaves replies such as the one quoted above.

Join the military. You'll get over that shit real quick.

Lmao I love it,
I barely move when it's vacation though, just behind my PC pretty much bored.
As I don't want to meet anyone, friends come by; I go outside with 'em. Go with some girls etc.
I love moving. (Especially when in bed.)

Moving for me was quite easy, however it was just to the next suburb (5 minute drive) so I had no real concerns/worries.

I have to agree with Wonders, I moved from a 20-15 minute place away.
