What action that will lead to, is anyone's guess. It's a global shortage with much of the manufacturing bottlenecked in companies abroad. The chip shortage has been going on for quite some time. This also feels a bit late to to say "oh we should probably do something about this". It's like waiting for a bomb to be dropped on a town, then installing anti-aircraft guns in the town 6 months after it was flattened. |
