DDoS Protected Hosting - Xeronations - 11-30-2012 AF was just offline for several hours, due to what I think was a DDoS attack. These attacks are only going to get worse, so perhaps we should migrate to DDoS protected hosting? RE: DDoS Protected Hosting - Ultimatum - 11-30-2012 I'm not sure whether it was specifically if it was a DDoS attack or not. I have been on the site longer and I know for one that sometimes it goes down because of hosting issues with the hosting company, as Anar has said before. I personally would not recommend it until it is absolutely necessary, as DDoS protection doesn't work very well unless you pay a very hefty amount of money. It was going off, and would come on for a few seconds, and then go back offline again. I don't think this was a hosting problem. But you are right. DDoS protection is very expensive. RE: DDoS Protected Hosting - Oni - 11-30-2012 We have some prevention for DDoS attacks, but we can't prevent them all. It's always possible to get more protection, but it costs money. RE: DDoS Protected Hosting - kaiteisbait - 11-30-2012 Umbrella has good protection. RE: DDoS Protected Hosting - Nohbdy - 12-01-2012 Ironically enough, guess what he's currently on?
