Why do people believe in God? - qwee - 06-24-2013 Hey. I'm serious regarding this topic, what is the reason? What makes people think that God actually exist? I personally think it's a weird thing, mainly because I don't believe in things that really can't be proved. /discuss RE: Why do people believe in God? - || Dragonjack || - 06-24-2013 I personally don't believe the existence of Gods, since there is no solid prove regrading of the existence of Gods. I'm no atheist at all to be honest and even though I don't believe in the existence of Gods. But I have doubt respects to amongst all ordinary religions out there in this world, which I find; touching and interesting. RE: Why do people believe in God? - Exotic - 06-24-2013 Most believe in God to keep their faith alive; or just to flat-out fulfill their needs of following something. I, for one, am a strict atheist. RE: Why do people believe in God? - Shonx - 07-12-2013 I think people a long time ago created a "God" to give them courage because they know they have someone watching over them and guiding them along the way. Also, it gives them sort of a purpose in life and something to follow. RE: Why do people believe in God? - Lithium - 07-12-2013 Some people need blind faith to get them through the day. RE: Why do people believe in God? - Boyd - 07-12-2013 A better question is why not believe in a God? It gives you something to look forward to, it can set some better guidelines too. RE: Why do people believe in God? - Soup_DZ - 07-12-2013 Well I believe in him because when I was younger I was taught about it. I never really questioned it. I honestly do believe there is someone watching over us. I believe in the devil and demons etc, and that God protects us from him. I get the Bible is just all sorts of random that contradicts itself to people, but to me I find that it all makes sense in it's own twisted way. But you know, that's just me and how I was raised. RE: Why do people believe in God? - Dennse - 07-12-2013 I found this video with TAA. It's explaining pretty much what I think about God. Basicly what he's saying is, that you can't prove there's a god, but you can't prove there isn't a god neither. Some people think it's logical to believe in a god, and some don't. I'm one of the people who don't, but I'm respecting the opinion of others, as I'm expecting them to do so with my opinions. RE: Why do people believe in God? - OversouL - 07-12-2013 Do you guys believe in ghosts, exorcisms, demons? If yes, why not believe that there is God? There is also no proof if how everything started. So I somehow believe that you can link science with God. What if God made the first atoms/ nano things to start and mold the universe. But that's just me and I don't know for you guys. RE: Why do people believe in God? - Robbieava - 07-12-2013 Well it's just as easy to ask why you think god doesn't exist. Just because we don't have an answer for something doesn't mean it doesn't have an answer. I don't believe and I don't not believe, I just am kind of dead smack in the center. I have my good and bad days I guess with God. |
