What Are You Reading? - Incognito Mode - 01-13-2022

I am curious to learn more so I will share something I just picked up and am just beginning,

Kevin Mitnicks "The Art of Invisibility."

ATM I am learning the basics on privacy and security. This is sidelined with dozens of PDFs I have managed to pick up, cyber security, hacking, python 3, database mining, cryptography, etc.

My favorite things to read though are things like articles and reports and actual classified, secret, top secret documents that have been publicly released without declassification, such as the XKEYScore program or other SAP's.

I like to learn about "how they operate" and "how they catch the ones making mistakes" as well.

I went through a phase where I wanted to write a romance science fiction novel, actually mapped out for a 6 novel series. But I steered away from investing that much time and effort due to personal reasons, mostly I am not well equipped to deal with the criticism and judgements by humans. Its a creative piece so I wish people would just go on the journey instead of arguing if its good enough, or if its lives up to "their" expectations. It kinda ruined it for me, and I had on a creative writers forum explained

how their attitude made me feel. Of course this made things worse so I simply told them to fuck off and I threw the idea away. Sadly, I am not that good at preventing others from changing the way I feel about something, usually if its important, or something I invested my love and heart into, ya know? I guess it got me so down about it, I said, better to not write at all. I felt I had a good story going, and had mapped out major events, characters, and wrote a short into and simply shared it. I don't expect, nor

did I, to get rich or make heads spin, but I surely didn't consider nearly the entire forum to shit on it cause I am not a good writer. I felt that their criticism went so far as to prevent them too, from going on a magical journey of imagination and adventure~! Which I was really wanting to share, from love. ya know?

I also wrote some erotic poems a while ago and shared them on Craigslist. I got several emails there saying I was a GREAT writer, expressionist, and one person said it make them shake as they read it. And that was the exact intention I had with that piece. I do like fiction, especially romance, adventure, and science fiction.

Now I am in the middle of reading Influence: The psychology of persuasion.

Great book and I feel like everyone should read it at least once in the lifetime. When you read, take notes and there's lot of actionable sentences you could use to work in your favour.

The last book I read was "Pep's City", a book about Josep Guardiola and Manchester City. I liked it very much, will go to everyone who is interested in football.

I reread "Perfumer. The Story of a Murderer" Patrick Suskind. Call me old-fashioned, but this book is a masterpiece.

Personally, I read a lot of manhwa and novels, I like the fantasy vibes
The book I am reading at the moment (and highly recommend) is "Novice" by Tran Matharu. There is a second book, but I haven't gotten to that yet.
