Do you Block Games? - Anurag M - 09-03-2012

Do you Block Games' exe with your Anti Virus Firewall? I do, as I don't want my antivirus to show alert between running a game.

I don't like using firewalls because of the fact you have to manually allow all of your programs.
Very time consuming...

I'm always very cautious of what I go on / download online so I've got all kinds of security on my computer - and never turn firewalls off.

I am never worried of such a thing. I am always alert and careful when it comes to malware.

I suppose your right - it's just I've been ratted before, and not letting it happen again :p Had to go through a long process to get it completely deleted off my PC.

Most firewalls have a "gaming mode" now where it will disable all notifications any will allow games to run smoothly without any interference, I know Kaspersky and ESET does.

I block it when I run it for first time and they what access to internet because there are 2 reasons
1. Because i don't what to update them if they are pirate
2. I don't what to get infect

No, I always tell my PC to allow games.
I've had my PC block games without me knowing before and causing major trouble when trying to connect to servers.
