Bots on the forum? - slothic - 10-14-2021

I have recently decided to come back on here and I keep seeing these new members speaking nonsense.

Example:

They were consistent with spam/bot-like activity, so I've hit the ban hammer on each member.

For future reference, simply use the board's Report feature.

If It's deemed a bot per se, action will be taken regardless of behavior.

There's been a good number of "zombies" that do nothing but go from thread-to-thread, usually in quick succession... We appreciate when people report these, as they sometimes blend in among members that are legitimately viewing threads.

I believe I have come across many of these since I registered, but I never thought about reporting them as they were not the type of bots to advertise links or post malicious content. I will be sure to report them in the future.
