Washington Post Justifies Keeping Active Taliban Social Media Accounts Open - Drako - 08-18-2021 Here's the Washington Post justifying keeping active Taliban members and spokesmen's social media accounts open. They also suggest that Trump is worse than active terrorists. We truly live in a society. I'm not sure humanity can sink much lower than this. Quote:For a group that espouses ancient moral codes, the Afghan Taliban has used strikingly sophisticated social media tactics to build political momentum and, now that they’re in power, to make a public case that they’re ready to lead a modern nation state after nearly 20 years of war. Quote:At the same time, the ability of the Taliban and its supporters to operate substantially within the rules of companies such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube has left Silicon Valley vulnerable to intensifying political crosscurrents: U.S. conservatives have been demanding to know why former president Donald Trump has been banned from Twitter while various Taliban figures have not. I would much rather see mean tweets from Trump than tweets from terrorists Source - https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/today-s-taliban-uses-sophisticated-social-media-practices-that-rarely-violate-the-rules/ar-AANsoJg RE: Washington Post Justifies Keeping Active Taliban Social Media Accounts Open - Oni - 08-18-2021 There's a distinct possibility the US pulled out too early, and will have to deal with the aftermath. Anyone that adds to the legitimacy of the Taliban's reign should be held proportionally accountable for the results. As long as something gets clicks and earns them money they'll allow it most likely RE: Washington Post Justifies Keeping Active Taliban Social Media Accounts Open - Oni - 08-18-2021 (08-18-2021, 09:48 PM)d4ggm4sk Wrote:(08-18-2021, 08:57 PM)Oni Wrote: There's a distinct possibility the US pulled out too early, and will have to deal with the aftermath. I'm not saying the government should censor anyone, I'm saying people have a choice at an individual level what companies they support. If someone disagrees with a service's behavior, then they should do something about it. If your boss does something shitty, you're able to complain. If Twitter has a double-standard when it comes to TOS, people have the option to not use Twitter. RE: Washington Post Justifies Keeping Active Taliban Social Media Accounts Open - Spooky - 08-19-2021 Yup the orange mans tweets are much worse than this according to the shills in the press. Get ready for the media to go into overdrive shill mode to coverup for sleepu joe’s terrible response to this crisis. Truly a mad world this is becoming.
