I've no idea what the hardwire bit means, but I enjoy using twitch quite a lot. I watch a fair few artists on there and learn a lot from them.
I've never streamed myself, though. I'm aware there's other platforms that have either been and gone, or are in the works (like brime), and youtube live, but I'm pretty sure twitch has got a pretty strong hold of the market. With that in mind, I'm not sure what your other options would be if you're into streaming and hate twitch xD

Twitch is alright, I like to fall asleep to some streamers gaming or just talking, lately shifting more toward watching anime before sleep though.
Guess I'll give the twitch app some more love for a bit

I like to put on a twitch stream for background noise. Its kinda nice to hear somebody talking in the background while doing something and be able to interact every now and then.

I think this speaks to your level of productivity compared to most human beings. xD

This is a really good point! I'll often put on a streamer while tabbed over to do some artwork or a game. It's good background noise even if I'm not really watching everything. You still feel like part of a conversation. However, twitch is a bit like a conversation you can leave and rejoin without it being considered socially "rude" xD
It's a very flexible platform that has is a big crossover between virtual social connections and entertainment.

My blog articles draw a lot of mental energy and as such, I can't afford any distractions, therefore TV & radio/music Is nonexistent.

With a podcast for example i generally want follow the conversation more which is kinda distracting

Twitch its kinda alright, it just a place for thots most of the time but sometimes you can find an nice streamer around the platform
