Police arrested 18-year-old Hollister Tryon on Friday and charged him with two counts of a third-degree computer crime, the Hartford Courant reported.

State statutes defined a third-degree computer crime as having occurred when “the damage to or the value of the property or computer services exceeds one thousand dollars, or the person recklessly engages in conduct which creates a risk of serious physical injury to another person.”

Bond for Tryon was set at $5,000, according to WVIT.
He was released after posting $500 in cash, the New York Post reported.

Police said that in addition to the Hitler quote, Tryon also added a reference to drugs and convicted 2013 Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Hartford Courant reported.

School administrators recalled the yearbooks as soon as they became aware of the problem.
“We deeply regret not having caught the act of bigotry and vandalism before the yearbook was printed,” school officials said in a statement. “We are examining and will revise our yearbook procedures for collecting and reviewing future student submissions.”

Glastonbury High School Principal Nancy Bean said that while Tryon did in fact receive his diploma after the yearbook incident, he was not permitted to walk with his classmates at the graduation ceremony, the Hartford Courant reported.

Tryon is due back in court on Aug. 6, the New York Post reported.
If convicted, the 18 year old could face up to five years in prison on each count.

Perhaps they haven't realized It was done via an online gateway, which does not have a direct physical Impact on an Individual.

That's absurd.

Murderers have been given lighter sentences. I can't see how his actions justify a maximum of 10 years Imprisonment.
