For Instance, If It's HD video editing, It will chew through 16 GB of Ram In no time at all, particularly when multitasking. Based on that, my recommendation on what to upgrade Is clear. Spot on, its specifically for video editing that is quite heavy. I'll definitely check out getting some more RAM if that's the case. RE: Advice on what to upgrade next? - Oni - 07-08-2021 Gaming-wise I figure the 1660Ti will be your biggest hindrance, so I'd upgrade your GPU. I had a 7700K up until a month or two ago and it was still kicking pretty well (with a Titan Xp). 16GB of RAM is still enough and if you need to you can buy a better SSD for cheaper than your original. Stating the obvious, be sure the MOBO can accommodate It. RE: Advice on what to upgrade next? - r3c30 - 10-09-2021 What are you bottlenecked on right now? Take a look at your task manager while you're running your app and see if anything is hitting 100% utilization. Multi threaded video editing will eventually max out something, whether it's your CPU, memory, drive bandwidth, or even CPU temperature.
