Let us hope the fires are brought under control very soon. RE: At Least 4 People Killed as Forest Fire Rages for a Second Day in Cyprus - Jiggly - 07-04-2021 I know some of this is down to time of year/climate change. But I feel like I'm constantly hearing about wildfires at the moment. I suspect we'll only hear about it more as time goes on. Good luck to anyone working on solutions for putting out these fires. A local policeman told AFP news agency that it appears they fled the vehicle and became trapped among the flames. Horrific. 600m is a large distance. May they rest in peace. RE: At Least 4 People Killed as Forest Fire Rages for a Second Day in Cyprus - nagyfaszu99 - 07-05-2021 oh this very sad. In my zone (mideast EU) the climate is very good. The temp is around 25Celsius so its really good for a chill a summer. Meanwhile few hundreds km from us there are zone with 40 Celsius. Fires of this magnitude have been happening for many decades, yet to this day, there Isn't an effective solution to tackle and distinguish them before the damage Is done. RE: At Least 4 People Killed as Forest Fire Rages for a Second Day in Cyprus - Miamoo - 07-27-2021 Another classic case of climate change brought about by global warming. These incidents will unfortunately increase unless government seriously thinks about the survival of human race rather than business and profits. |
