Update the Contact Field for the Profile Page - Spooky - 06-05-2021
As of now there are only 3 Sections available to fill out as far as contact information.
ICQ Number:
Skype ID:
Google Hangouts ID:
I personally have never heard of ICQ Number and never created a Google Hangouts ID. Is it possible to at the very least add Discord and Telegram as an option? I mean we have a Discord server it only makes sense we have that available. It would be easier for my customers to refer to my profile for an official way to contact me. Without the possibility of an Impostor.
Kik, Guilded, Whatsapp ETC. Are other commonly used contact platforms used as well. The current ones are simply outdated.

I support Kik, Discord, and Telegram to be integrated into the additional contact information field. I am rather surprised these platforms are not already in the additional contact information field, as Oni is active and keeps Sinisterly regularly up-to-date. An easy miss if no one has pointed it out in the past.
There is also an option to add your own website URL to your profile, should that not be removed as advertising our own website is against the rules?

As long as it isn't a competing forum that would take away from what we have here on Sinister.

I also would actually love to have a discord link on my profile as contact info
Discord has become a big platform, and I even know an IRL board games club that use discord on the side with facebook.
AKA. you can be a member in their gaming without being in their club without being on facebook and only on discord.
I want my discord link in contact info ! ^^,

It's worth mentioning that these are the default fields available for MyBB. We never really changed them, as most people will use their signature for contact info. I'll give some thought to making the fields that are available a bit more modern, since nobody uses ICQ anymore. The original fields are from almost 10 years ago.
As for websites being advertised, it's not a problem if it's a blog or something like that. @mothered runs a very detailed blog and it's not a conflict of interest. Our advertising rules are more to prevent the advertising of forums or Discord communities. For people that are only selling goods/services, it's sometimes permitted.
