Hello All
What are the pros and cons of Tor over P2P?

It hurts the network and your anonymity.
- It "privately" sends your clear-net IP to hundreds of peers and whatever tracker services
- Tor doesn't have the capacity to support high bandwidth applications like that
- You are fine downloading objects, I've downloaded .ISO files at a few GB with no issues (other than latency ofc)
You're better off using a VPN or proxy server because that's more geared for it. Maybe consider whether you need Tor in the first place.

Depending on usage, you might be better off with a VPN, as he says. TOR isn't entirely decentralized, either.

NordVPN has a simple writeup available here why you should consider which option fits better. Your threat surface may differ than someone else so it's important you know the pros and cons of both.
