Good question.I have been looking into my own forum developement
my self and can say it may not be a monumental task for these guys.But it really is not sonething that is easy to do like1-2-3.And if i am not wrong it opens the door to vulns.Is this an addition that would grow our com here even more?Or would it only add un needed extea workload and maintainence.
There is a reason one has not been
implemented.Perhaps mother may
find time to share a word or two on
this topic.

We've had one before. I hate chatboxes personally, as we're a forum... If people want to instant message, that's what our Discord is for.

If you want live chat, just use our Discord. There's an invite code in the bar at the top of the site.

Many many years ago, I believe we did have a chatbox, but most users are into using discord, and there are challenges with having a chatbox feature as mentioned by others in the thread.

It was fashionable back then, but not so much nowadays.
